Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives

VISION
The Club envisions to be an instrument to promote astronomy as a distinct field of interest among constituents in the Mindanao State University at Marawi.

MISSION
The Club seeks to...
1) Encourage among MSU constituents the appreciation and interest in the field of astronomy; and
2) Become part of the pioneering efforts in making astronomy more relevant and significant in the MinSuPala region.

GOALS
The Club aims to...
1) Provide, widen, and deepen the knowledge of astronomy among its members;
2) Serve as a bridge between the professional astronomers and the layman; and
3) Establish ties with other astronomy organizations and clubs within and outside the country.

OBJECTIVES
The Club intends to...
1) Conduct regular lectures, sessions, and discussions on astronomy;
2) Hold field activities like stargazing, solar viewing and observations of other similar natural phenomena;
3) Be more familiar with astronomy-related equipment like telescopes, binoculars, etc.);
4) Hold and invite non-members to viewings and observations of celestial or astronomical events;
5) Conduct seminars on current issues concerning astronomy;
6) Hold quiz shows and exhibits that would encourage other individuals and organizations to engage in the study of astronomy; and
7) Link with other organizations and groups who have similar vision, mission and goals with the Club.
